We're 2 newly-minted-teenage sisters who recently got into bird watching, especially since just outside our balcony is a sliver of forest in the middle of urban Singapore! Taking up the hobby has opened our eyes - it's become almost instinct for us to notice the stray Pink-necked Green Pigeon around our city streets and appreciate even the common Javan Mynah. One kite came really close to our condominium so we were able to get good shots! Ew! Perhaps the lizard was struggling and it didn’t want to drop it.

It occasionally nipped at its poor prey like it was tearing it apart.
